Terms of Service.

The rules of the road for using SnapMyCV — written in plain English, with no surprises.

Effective
31 May 2026

Welcome to SnapMyCV. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and SnapMyCV, a product of The Third Sourcers ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use SnapMyCV.

1. What SnapMyCV does

SnapMyCV is a web application that lets you build, edit, host, and share your professional CV. We offer designer templates, an in-browser editor, public CV hosting on a personal subdomain (e.g. yourname.snapmycv.com), and PDF export. The service is free and may include third-party advertising.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password (or third-party sign-in credentials) secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • One account per person. You may create as many CVs and templates within your account as you wish.
  • Notify us immediately at hello@snapmycv.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Your content & ownership

You own everything you create on SnapMyCV — your CV content, your text, the templates you build, the images you upload. You retain full copyright and all other rights to your content.

To run the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit your content as necessary to:

  • display your CV in the editor and on your public subdomain (if you make it public);
  • generate previews, thumbnails, OG/social cards, and PDFs;
  • back up, restore, and migrate your data between our infrastructure providers.

This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. We do not sell your content, train AI models on it, or use it for any purpose other than running the service.

4. Public CVs

When you mark a CV as "Public", it becomes accessible to anyone on the internet at your subdomain URL. Public CVs are:

  • indexable by search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) unless you disable indexing in your settings;
  • embeddable in iframes on other sites;
  • scrapeable by anyone who visits the URL.

Don't include information on a public CV that you wouldn't want a stranger to see. You can toggle a CV back to "Private" at any time, and we'll stop serving it publicly — but cached copies elsewhere on the internet may persist.

5. Templates

The 79+ starter templates we ship with SnapMyCV are licensed to you to use freely for your own CVs. You may not extract, redistribute, or resell our starter templates as standalone products.

Templates you build yourself, and templates you fork from our starters and modify, are yours — you control whether to keep them private or publish them to the community gallery. By publishing a template publicly, you grant other SnapMyCV users a licence to fork and adapt it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SnapMyCV to:

  • publish illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or fraudulent content;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, employment, education, or credentials in a way intended to deceive;
  • publish content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
  • distribute malware, phishing material, spam, or unsolicited advertising;
  • scrape, mass-download, or rate-limit-abuse our public pages, templates, or API;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure, other users' accounts, or CVs marked private;
  • use SnapMyCV to create or distribute content that competes directly with our service.

We may suspend or remove content, accounts, or subdomains that violate this section, usually with notice but immediately if the violation is severe.

7. Service availability

SnapMyCV is offered free of charge on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uptime, response time, or that the service will be free of bugs. We may add, change, or remove features without notice. Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled outages happen.

8. Pricing & future paid features

SnapMyCV is currently free. We may introduce paid plans for premium features in the future. If we do, your existing free-tier access will remain available unless we give you reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) of any material changes.

9. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings — this removes your CVs, templates, and personal data from our active systems, with backup retention as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period (we'll notify you first), or if we are compelled to do so by law. We'll give you a chance to export your CVs in most cases.

10. Disclaimers

SnapMyCV is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will meet your needs, that your CV will lead to job offers, or that the templates will pass any particular Applicant Tracking System.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapMyCV and The Third Sourcers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero), or (b) USD 100.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email (to the address on your account) or by a notice on the dashboard at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of SnapMyCV will be resolved in the courts of Lalitpur, Nepal — unless your local consumer-protection laws give you a non-waivable right to sue in your own jurisdiction.
