Executive Mono is a two-column CV built around quiet authority rather than colour. The name is set in Cormorant Garamond — a high-contrast serif — in generous uppercase, while everything else uses Inter at a small, even weight. The palette is pure greyscale: ink on white, with thin rules separating each section. The effect is the visual equivalent of a well-cut suit; nothing shouts, and that restraint is exactly what reads as senior.
The left column holds your contact details, skills, and languages as compact, scannable lists. The wider right column carries the narrative — summary, experience, education, and certifications — where the real evidence of your career lives. That split lets a recruiter take in who you are at a glance, then drop straight into what you have done.
This template is built for senior individual contributors, managers, consultants, and executives — people whose track record speaks for itself and who want the design to stay out of the way. It works best in fields where understatement is a virtue: law, finance, strategy, academia, and the C-suite.
Because the layout is text-first, it rewards strong writing. Lead each experience entry with an outcome, quantify your impact, and keep the summary to three or four sharp lines. Avoid padding the skills column with generic soft skills; the monochrome design exposes filler rather than hiding it. Used well, the empty space becomes confidence.
Its section headings are conventional (Experience, Education, Skills) and the text is real, selectable text rather than images, which is what automated screening needs. As with any two-column CV, run the plain-text test before applying: copy the exported PDF into a text editor and confirm it reads top-to-bottom in a sensible order.
Yes. The greyscale palette and the Cormorant Garamond / Inter pairing are defaults you can adjust in the editor, including margins and content scale. The monochrome look is intentional, but nothing is locked.
